Waterson featured in OSU Calendar
A local college student is being featured in a calendar and website of Ohio State University students that was unveiled this week. John Waterson, a 22 year old Senior at OSU, is Mr. November in the Year 2000 edition of the "Campus Men" Calendar.
The website version of the calendar, www.campusmen.com, allows fans to see outtake photos of John, read interviews and learn more about his life.
The calendar, which is distributed statewide in Ohio, was photographed by photographer Sean Ashbrook this past Summer. John was photographed during a week long trip to Miami Beach and the Florida Keys in August.
Waterson, who graduated from Hudson High School in 1997, is son of John Waterson and Jane Kaiser of Hudson.
Producers located students for the calendar in an unusual manner: They stopped them in person in the campus area. John was "discovered" while walking to class on campus last Spring by calendar producers who asked him to try out.
The calendar has been popular since it was first published by Ashbrook while he was a sophomore at OSU.
The school's newspaper dubbed it "immensely popular" when it was introduced.
